May 14, 2018

The International Festival of Science and Education 2018 was held on 12-13 May in the Central campus of the University of Novi Sad. The aim of the event, which is organised at the University of Novi Sad for the tenth time in a row, is the popularisation of science as a socially significant activity, and the presentation of contemporary achievements and current research in the country and abroad. A diverse educational, interactive and interesting programme of this year's festival included workshops in the fields of engineering, technological, natural science, social and medical disiciplines, as well as a number of popular science lectures and accompanying events.

University of Novi Sad presents the second edition dedicated to top achievements in various scientific and artistic fields. The idea of presenting top achievements of teachers and associates of the University of Novi Sad annually arises from the need to talk about scientific and artistic work from the perspective of their quality and influence on contemporary science. The main goal of this publication is to pay tribute to people and teams of scientists who through their work contribute to greater visibility of the University of Novi Sad in academic circles and society as a whole..

Among top achievements in 2017, there is a large number of international projects and Erasmus+ BE-OPEN is one of them. The National Portal of Open Science was created which currently contains relevant information on Open Science and will unify catalogs of scientific and artistic production of Serbian universities and make them available to researchers, businesses and society as a whole.

The organiser of the Festival is the University of Novi Sad, while its patrons are the Provincial Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research.

As in previous events, the entrance is free for all visitors.
